How to Set Up Your Trezor® Wallet

Here’s a step-by-step setup process:

Step 1: Go to Trézor.io/Start®

Using your browser, manually type Trézor.io/Start®. This is the trusted and verified setup page. Select your model (Trezor Model One or Model T) and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Download Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the desktop and web app that allows you to manage your crypto. It lets you send, receive, buy, swap, and track your assets with ease. Download it only from the official setup page.

Step 3: Connect and Initialize Your Device

  1. Plug in your Trezor using the USB cable.
  2. Install any required firmware updates (you’ll be prompted).
  3. Create a new wallet and generate a recovery phrase.
  4. Write down all 12, 18, or 24 words in the correct order on the provided card.
  5. Confirm the recovery phrase using the device.

⚠️ Important: Your recovery phrase is the only way to access your crypto if your device is lost or stolen. Never take photos of it, store it online, or share it with anyone.

Using Trezor Suite

Once setup is complete, use Trezor Suite to:

  • Manage your cryptocurrency
  • Add multiple accounts for different coins
  • Send and receive funds securely
  • Monitor your transaction history
  • Buy, sell, and exchange assets
  • Use passphrase protection for added security

All sensitive actions, like sending funds, must be confirmed directly on the device screen — keeping your assets safe even if your computer is compromised.

Supported Cryptocurrencies

Trezor supports a wide range of digital assets including:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • DASH, Zcash, Cardano, Dogecoin, and many more
  • ERC-20 tokens (like USDT, LINK, UNI, and others)

You can manage most of them directly through Trezor Suite. Others may require third-party apps, which are safely integrated through the platform.
